Imagine your wedding taking place underneath rows of sprawling banyan trees followed by a magnificent chandelier-lit dinner on a private island. Now scroll down to see what that looked like for Nikki & Kevin’s Gasparilla Inn wedding…
A year ago, these two amazing souls invited me on their boat to do engagement photos around the west coast of Florida. I knew immediately that their Gasparilla Inn wedding was going to be something special. When the day finally arrived, it exceeded all expectations and thanks to some cooperative summer weather, everything went smoothly.
Nikki wanted nothing more than to have the ceremony under the sprawling trees of Banyan Street. She had worked tirelessly months before the wedding to secure the location which requires a complete street-closure to conduct a ceremony, but her heart was set. The months of planning and work all paid off and it was amazing to see her vision come to life as she & Kevin said their vows in front of loved ones, dwarfed by the surrounding banyan trees.
After the ceremony on Banyan Street, guests were driven on golf-carts and trolleys back to the Gasparilla Inn where they enjoyed cocktails, dinner & dancing on the golf-course lawn at the Inn.
Their wedding day was the perfect combination of elegance and fun – I am so grateful to have had the chance to tell this story.
